Riding is Good

Got out again for some light trail riding with Jen and rode down the canal/towpath to G-town. Pizza Paradisio was closed, but we went down the the inner harbor and hit a places called Founding Farmers I think. Very tasty, good beer. Good fish taco's. Win! Not a bad day for working 4 hours.

Might hit wake again tonight. Dunno got see how the day goes. It's supposed to be a good bit warmer today and tomorrow so I may wait. hmm.

Distance of pain

Wow! I went nutso today and road like a nut. In fact what may be a new distance record for me, admittedly it wasn't that far, but for me it was longer in terms of distance than any ride before. I road 40 miles on the Canal path today, 20 from a nearby neighborhood out and back. Damn a bit of wind on the way out but it was really rough on the way back. Plus I was hosed after the 30 mile mark. My legs and lower quads are dead. Good ridee though, probably 7 miles longer than my other longest previous ride. Took about 3 and a half hours with brakes. I had to do a bit of walking to loosen up my legs in the last 10 miles.

Gotta dump the data from the gps. My legs are damn tired.

Watched the latest Die hard movie and it was pretty damn cool, some crazy stunts.
The Tenacious D movie was so so, I don't care for a lot of the music but the duo is very funny. Oh well.
Dinner time. Fried eggs ho!!!!!!!

In DC now.

The move is half over and we've been in DC since early Sunday morning. Tuesday I finally got lucky and went for a great bikeride on my father-in-laws way to small bike. But it was good. I dropped down on a fairly serious trailhead with some nasty steps (Excluding 2 small sections with no good lines). Then I road the canal from near Glen Echo down to the falls, about 2 miles from Georgetown.

It was a beautiful day and I look forward to doing that on my own bike soon.

My car may be here by Friday actually it looks like, while i suspect my furniture unless it makes a big jump today or tommorow won't arrive till monday.

For now I"m making a list of trails I want to ride asap. More on that later today.
